Choices in Life
Does everything begin with life and end with death, as the Stoics said? Are we free spirits trapped in flesh? Or are we a New Creation, as Paul proclaimed — Still flesh and bone, yet free — by the power of Resurrection.

What do you want to be — successful or kind?
Which persuades more — propaganda or poetry?
What describes reality — news or stories?
Who explains history’s meaning — politicians or prophets?
Who are we, really — gods or sinners?
Where do we foster our character — in corporate halls or in community?
How are we truly accepted — by work or through grace?
But above all, which matters more:
To have an answer for every question,
Or to have a Shepherd to guide you through life’s choices?
We are not led by mere facts, but by the weight of our concerns.
So ask yourself — what are your concerns?
Dear child, do not think your way into maturity,
But pray — pray your way into it.
Our choices arise from our believe.
Does everything begin with life and end with death, as the Stoics said?
Are we free spirits trapped in flesh?
Or are we a New Creation, as Paul proclaimed —
Still flesh and bone, yet free —
by the power of Resurrection.
